Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
The payment for sin is death and the place of death is Hell, eternally. Our Holy God cannot look at sin and requires payment with the blood of something innocent in exchange. Jesus paid that price for us. His sinless life was given in exchange for our corrupt lives. God honored his sacrifice by accepting payment in full for every man’s sin.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God loves us. He intended for us to live sinless in the garden forever, but sin ruined that situation and severed our pure relationship with him. Christ died for us to restore us to that place.
Romans 10:9-10 That is, you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him form the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
When we speak out loud that we believe that Jesus is the sacrifice for our sins and that God accepts his sacrifice as payment for us, we are saved. If we truly believe it in our inward most parts…our heart. (Heb. 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Our hope is in the fact that Jesus is our savior. Hope is not useless folly it is based on a heart felt belief in the truth unseen.
Rev. 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Christ is at the door of our heart knocking. Waiting for us to open up and let him in. His love for us is deep; he does not wish us to perish. He gave all so that we can be free from eternal judgment and longs for us to accept his gift. He not only loves us but likes us and desires greatly to be our friend and Savior.
II Cor. 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is anew creation; old things have passed away and behold all things have become new. When we believe we are in Christ Jesus!!! We are new! What we were is gone and what we are is in front of us.
So if we admit we are not right with God. Confess that we are separated from Him because of our sin. Believe that Jesus is the savior who came to pay the price for our salvation. Confess out loud that Jesus is our Lord. Turn from our ways and follow Him, which is proof that we believe. Then we will be saved and brought into right standing with God.
Confess our sins + Believe in Christ Jesus + Turn from our sinful lifestyle = SALVATION
God is GOOD and only wants good for you!
