Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Holiness
I woke up with a word in my mind. That word is proclivity. The meaning of the word simply put is to have a tendency toward something. The man had a proclivity to drive fast. Or The girl had a proclivity singing. I don’t know why the word was on my mind but I know that I have some “proclivities” in my life. Today as we dive into the word we will see that Jesus came to give us life. In fact, He wants us to have a proclivity towards abundance of life. Yet, many of us do not feel life giving power in our day to day living. We feel excitement at times or maybe a little joy here and there when something good happens but what about life abundant? What was Jesus referring to? How do we get that? Was it just something He said but was metaphorical more than actual?
The story goes; the bulldog and the dove lived in the same house. The bulldog grew strong and the dove grew weak. Why? The cupboards were filled with dog food and only a small container had bird seed. We will see abundant life in the spirit we feed. Jesus shows us how to feed our Spirit and experience LIFE…let’s find out how.
